The osprey (Fiskeørn) has become one of the most important bird species in my life as a nature photographer in Sarpsborg, Østfold, Norway.
Through photography and film, I want to document the life of this remarkable bird of prey in a respectful way – from hunting and flight to quiet moments, nesting areas, landscapes and the close relationship between birds, water and wild nature.
For me, photographing ospreys is about much more than getting a strong image. It is about patience, observation, knowledge and respect for the bird, the nesting sites and the fragile habitats around it.

Osprey photography must always be done with care. My work focuses on respect for birds, nesting areas, wildlife and Norwegian nature conservation.

My main focus is:
1. Observation and documentation of osprey hunting, flying and resting.
2. Photography and 4K video of ospreys in Sarpsborg, Østfold and Norwegian nature.
3. Capturing rare moments such as the osprey diving, catching fish and rising from the water.
4. Respectful distance from nests and sensitive breeding areas.
5. Support for bird conservation and vulnerable habitats.
6. Visual storytelling about birds of prey, wildlife and nature in Norway.
7. When I photograph and film this bird, I try to show both its strength and its vulnerability. A good wildlife image should not only show what the bird looks like. It should also tell something about the place, the moment, the silence.
