Through photography and filmmaking, I have spent years exploring wildlife, landscapes, northern lights and cultures in Norway, Iceland and Tibet. These experiences have shaped the way I see nature, storytelling and the relationship between people and the natural world.
Norway – Wildlife, Northern Lights and Nature Photography
Living in Sarpsborg, Østfold, Norway has given me endless opportunities to explore nature through photography and film. Much of my work focuses on wildlife photography, bird photography, northern lights, forests, lakes and Norwegian landscapes.
Photographing the osprey has taught me patience, observation and respect for wildlife. Some of the most rewarding experiences have come from spending hours, days and even seasons learning how birds and animals behave in their natural environment.
Northern lights photography has taught me to work with changing weather, darkness and light. Nature constantly changes, and every outing becomes a new lesson in observation and timing.
Iceland – Volcanoes, Glaciers and Nature Filmmaking
I travelled to Iceland because I wanted to experience some of the most powerful natural forces on Earth. Volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls, storms and rapidly changing weather conditions created unforgettable photography and filmmaking experiences.
Witnessing volcanic eruptions and documenting these events through both photography and film taught me the importance of preparation, flexibility and visual storytelling. Iceland showed me how quickly nature can change and how small we are compared to the forces that shape our planet.
The experience strengthened my interest in nature filmmaking, documentary storytelling and capturing atmosphere through both still images and moving pictures.
Tibet and the Himalayas – Culture, Mountains and Human Stories
Tibet and the Himalayas have been among my most powerful photography and film experiences. The high mountains, open landscapes, changing light, Buddhist culture and people living close to nature created moments that stayed with me long after the journey.
I am drawn to places where nature feels vast, raw and deeply connected to human life. In Tibet and the Himalayas, the landscape is not only scenery — it is part of the culture, the history and everyday life.
Reaching the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain area at around 4,600 metres above sea level was a powerful experience, with thin air, dramatic views, changing weather and a strong feeling of being close to nature and history.
My work from Tibet includes mountain landscapes, wildlife, cultural places, monasteries, people, light, atmosphere and documentary moments. Respect was always essential: understanding local customs, asking permission when photographing people and being present in a calm and respectful way.
Photography, Film and Visual Storytelling
Through photography and filmmaking, I try to share experiences rather than simply document places. My goal is not only to show beautiful landscapes, but also to communicate atmosphere, emotion and a sense of being present.
Whether I am photographing wildlife in Norway, filming volcanoes in Iceland or documenting culture and landscapes in Tibet, I am always searching for stories, light, atmosphere and meaningful experiences that can be shared through photography and film.
What Nature Continues to Teach Me
Nature is more than something to photograph. It gives me calm, inspiration and a place to think. Spending time outdoors, observing wildlife, changing light and the rhythms of nature continues to inspire both my photography and filmmaking.
Through my photos and films, I try to share not only what I see, but also what I experience. Light, atmosphere and presence are central to my work, whether I am photographing wildlife in Norway, filming volcanoes in Iceland or documenting life and culture in Tibet.
Nature reminds me that everything is connected. Wildlife, landscapes and people all depend on balance and harmony. Through photography and film, I hope to encourage curiosity, reflection and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
Witnessing active volcanic eruptions in Iceland during two journeys was one of my most powerful experiences as a photographer and filmmaker
Travelling through Tibet and the Himalayas was one of my most memorable photography and filmmaking experiences.
Capturing the Northern Lights at Tunevannet is about more than pointing the camera at the sky – it’s observing nature, light, and movement. I look for patterns, colors, and fleeting moments that convey the magic of the night. Using long exposures and careful composition, I aim to transform the ephemeral aurora into lasting images that reveal the beauty of Sarpsborg’s natural landscapes.
The Osprey is one of the most majestic and beautiful birds of prey in Norway. Strong, focused, and perfectly adapted to life near water, it is an expert hunter, diving with precision to catch fish. Each encounter with this bird is powerful and unforgettable.
Every year, the Osprey travels an incredible distance from Norway to Africa and back again. This long journey is a reminder of the strength, endurance, and vulnerability of wildlife. Photographing and filming the Osprey gives me deep respect for its life and natural rhythm.
I actively work to support and protect the Osprey population by documenting their behavior, habitat, and daily life through photography and 4K video. By sharing these stories, I hope to raise awareness and help preserve this iconic species for future generations.
